₹1124 Shares Up 4% on Government’s 5% Stake Sale Plan
Life Insurance Corporation of India (NSE: LICI) Share Price: It is possible that the government could reduce its stake in an insurance company run by the government LIC shortly.

The stake held by the federal government LIC at present has been set at 96.50 percent.

The Government Has Got Time
On the 20th of December, 2023 Economic Affairs under the Ministry of Finance gave a 10-year extension of the rule of public shareholding that has a minimum that is 25 percent.
The exemption will continue to be in force until May 2032. In May, SEBI had given time until May 16th, 2027 to acquire a minimum of 10 percent of the public stake.
As per reports, the government is working to reduce its stake before the deadline.
LIC Shares Rise
LIC share saw an increase on Wednesday. When the market was closing, the value of the share of the company was Rs 1123.90 a gain in the range of 4 percent.
In the same way, the highest price of the day was 1127.05 rupees in the BSE. The 52-week high of LIC is 1221.50 rupees and its 52-week low is 597.65 rupees.
