₹134 Share Got 19 Solar Project; Total Assets 28,000 Cr; Share Target ₹300

India Grid Trust (NSE: INDIGRID) share: Infrastructure investment trust India Grid has completed the acquisition of a 300 MW capacity solar project at an enterprise value of Rs 1550 crore. The company has informed this to the stock exchange. 

After this deal, IndiGrid has 19 solar projects in eight states across the country. Their total production capacity is 1.1 gigawatts (one gigawatt equals 1,000 megawatts). 

India Grid Trust (IndiGrid) announced in a statement its assets under management currently stand at around Rs 28,200 Crore. The agreement for the purchase of shares for the acquisition was signed in January 2024

Share Conditions

India Grid Trust share saw a rise on the BSE index on the last trading day. On the last trading day of the week, this share increased by 1 percent and closed above Rs 134. 

The share touched a 52-week high of Rs 141.51 in May 2023 and fell to the level of Rs 121 in November 2023. The market capitalization of the business is 10,505.14 crore. The share price may go up to Rs 300 soon.

ICRA’s Estimates For Renewable Energy’s Potential

In addition, the rating agency ICRA has stated that the Renewable energy (RE) capacity of India is projected to grow up to 170 gigawatts by the end of March 2025. It does not include large hydroelectric power plants. 

India’s installed RE capacity in December 2023 was 135 GW (one gigawatt equals 1,000 MW). Given the intermittent nature of RE generation, 24-hour supply from these sources remains critical.

The agency suggested that this could be made possible through energy storage systems along with wind and solar energy projects.
