₹184 Share Ready To Double? Company’s Profit Has Increased By 29 Percent

L&T Finance Ltd: L&T Finance released its first quarter results on Tuesday. The profits of the business have increased by 29 percent compared with the previous year.

In addition, there’s been an increase of nearly 17 percent in earnings on a year-to-year basis. Additionally, the net income from interest has risen by 23 percent on an annual basis.

The company has informed us that loans made available in the rural business finance sector have been up by 28 percent when compared to the previous year.

In the same way, the rate of the distribution of loans for two-wheeler finance has been up 52 percent in comparison to the previous year.

How Were The Results?

In the first three months of the year of 2018, profits increased from Rs 531 crore to Rs 686 crore, compared to the same period the previous year.

In the same period, the net interest income increased from Rs 1,644 crore to Rs 2,020 crore compared to the previous year. In the same way, the revenue has grown from Rs 3,223 crore up to Rs 3,784 crore.

The net interest margin as well as fees and other earnings were 11.08 percent, compared to 9.64 percent in the previous year.

Additionally, the loans given to rural areas have gone up from Rs 4,511 crore to Rs 5,773 crore. The total book of this segment stands at Rs 25,887 crore, which is an increase of 31 percent over the previous year.

However, the amount of two-wheeler financing has risen by 52 percent, reaching Rs 2,621 crore, compared to the previous year. However, the volume of books for the segment has reached Rs 12,025 crore.

The company distributed personal loans totaling Rs 1,178 crore in the first quarter of this year, which is 1 percent higher than the previous year.

In the same period, the size of books has grown by 11 percent to reach Rs 6,667 crore.

In the last period, loans distributed within the housing loan and loan against real estate segment have risen by 73 percent to Rs 2,245 crore as compared with the previous year.

The loans distributed in the context of SME finance have risen by 61 percent to Rs 978 crore, compared to last year.
