₹305 Government Share Announced Record Date For Dividend; Dividend Will Be Paid Within 30 Days
On Saturday, July 20, the day after releasing the first quarter results, BPCL(NSE: BPCL) announced the record date for its dividend of the previous financial year.
In the information sent to the stock market, the company said that the record date for the final dividend given for the financial year 2023-24 has been fixed as August 9.
This company declared an end-of-year payout of 10.5 per share during the most recent financial year.
According to the company, the AGM is to be held in August itself, the date of which will be announced later. The company announced that dividends would be paid within 30 days from the date of the AGM.
The record date is the date on which all those registered as shareholders with the company get the benefit of that corporate action.
How Was The Results?
BPCL released its results on July 19. In the first quarter, the company’s profit fell by 71 percent to Rs 3015 crore as compared to last year.
However, a year ago the profit was at the level of Rs 10551 crore. At the same time, the income from business remained close to last year’s levels at Rs 1.28 lakh crore.
The decline in profit has been recorded due to weak gross refining margins and high crude oil prices.
The average GRM during the quarter stood at $ 7.86 per barrel, which was at $ 12.64 per barrel a year ago.
How Was The Stock’s Performance
In Friday’s session, the stock closed at 304 with a decline of 4.5 percent. The stock has grown 58 percent in the last year, while in the year 2024 so far, the stock has seen a rise of 35 percent.
In the last three months, the stock has delivered an average return of 4.5% to shareholders.
