29% Profit Increased; Govt Navratna PSU Company; Declared Interim Dividend

Ircon International Ltd (NSE: IRCON): Despite the good quarterly results in addition to the announcement of a dividend, interim Ircon International’s share price dropped by 2.21 percent on Friday. 

The shares ended the day at 223.20 which was down 2.34 percent on Friday.

In February 2024 the Board of Directors of IRCON International, an intermediate-cap construction sector PSU declared an interim dividend amounting to 1.80 for each equity share, at Rs 2 per share amount for fiscal year 2023-23.

IRCON International announced a 28.8 percent year-on-year (YoY) rise in its consolidated net income for the quarter that ended March 31, FY24, at the figure of 244.7 crore.

IRCON International Declares Interim Dividend

According to IRCON International’s BSE report on February 8th, 2024, an interim cash dividend amounting to Rs 1.80 was declared for each equity share, at a face value of Rs 2. 

The dividend is 90 percent of the amount of face value.

The date of record for the paying interim dividends for the period 2023-24 is Friday 16 February 2024. The interim dividend is due on February 27, 2024.

IRCON International Q3 Results

IRCON International saw a strong profit increase compared to its topline. The company’s other earnings grew by nearly 70 percent during the period. 

The income grew from 75.4 crore last year to 127.7 crore during the December 2023 quarter. 

The company has announced its income before tax, earnings, and amortization (EBITDA) for the quarter that ended in December 2023, which was 378.1 crore, an increase of 63.2 percent compared to 231.7 crore for the same period last year.

Its EBITDA ratio for the quarter that ended in December 2023 was 12.6 percent, an increase of almost 270 basis points over the previous year.

IRCON International received Navratna status on the 12th of October, 2023. In the BSE filing of October 12, the company was told that the Department of Public Enterprises vide its letter of October 12, 2023, gave Navratna designation to IRCON. IRCON will be the fifteenth Navratna in the list of CPSEs.
