Mankind Pharma Limited (NSE: MANKIND), a pharmaceutical company, announced that it will buy a 100 percent stake in Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited (BSV), from Advent International.
The deal is worth approximately Rs 13,630 crore.
In a filing to the stock exchange, the company stated that it has entered into an agreement with Advent International, a private equity investor of international renown, for the acquisition of 100% of Bharat Serums & Vaccines Ltd (BSV).
The enterprise value is about Rs 13,630 crore. This is a major step in the development of Mankind Pharma as the Indian leader in women’s fertility and health drugs.
Rajiv Juneja Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Mankind Pharma, said, The acquisition of BSV marks an important milestone on Mankind’s journey.
It will establish us as the Indian leader in women’s fertility and health drugs.
Share Performance
The company’s shares closed Thursday at Rs 2,142, a gain of 1.79 percent.
The 52-week stock high is Rs 2,490, and the stock of the company has increased by 11.65 percent in the past year.
