GMR Airports Infrastructure (NSE: GMRINFRA) share: Since the interim budget on 1st February, shares of GMR Airports Infrastructure, a company related to the airport business, have been rising like a rocket. This share had reached Rs 86.94 on Friday, the last trading day of the week. 

The share price on January 8, 2024 was at Rs 88.70. Today on Monday, the share trading at Rs 88.75.

On the day the interim budget was presented, the December quarter results of GMR Airports Infrastructure was released. This company reported a loss for the quarter ended December 2023 of Rs. 317.46 crore.

Earlier, the company had earned a profit of Rs 191.36 crore during the September quarter. The company’s profit during the quarter ending December 2022 was Rs 1761.46 crore.

Talking about the shareholding pattern of GMR Airports Infrastructure, a 59.07 percent stake is held by the promoter. At the same time, public shareholding is 40.93 percent. 

As of December 2023, the individual promoter held 96,60,070 shares of the company. Apart from this, GMR Enterprises Private Limited holds 2,68,48,43,150 shares of the company.

Announcement Regarding Airport In The Budget

Nirmala Sitharaman, Finance Minister, on Thursday last week, referring to the rapid growth of the aviation industry in the past 10 years, stated that construction and expansion of airports would continue at an accelerated pace.

In his budget speech, the Finance Minister stated that the UDAN program has led to a huge expansion of air connectivity in Tier-two and Tier-three cities. In the country, 517 new routes are serving 1.3 crore passengers.
