A 26-year-old social media activist was allegedly assaulted, bitten and hit by a car by her boyfriend, an office boy, near a hotel in Maharashtra’s Thane over a fight. The incident left the victim already traumatized.

According to what the woman wrote on social media, her lover, who is the son of Anil Gaikwad who is the MD of MSRDC, allegedly tried to cut her off with his car after a fight in Thane city. Two of his friends were involved in the crime, he said.

The incident took place on December 11 and Priya is undergoing treatment at a private hospital for injuries to her stomach, back, arms and “broken” right leg.

Police Deny Claims

A police officer has refuted the officer’s post on his social media page that the police did not register the case as per his statement adding that the investigation is ongoing.

A case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 323 (intentionally causing hurt), 279 (rash driving), and 504 (willful insult with intent to disturb peace) has been registered against the accused and his two accomplices in Kasarvadavali. the police.

What Really Happened?

According to what the woman said, the tragedy happened around 4:30 in the morning when the woman arrived at the Courtyard Hotel to meet Gaikwad, who is said to be her boyfriend. The victim then reported that he had been stalked.

As soon as Gaikwad left the hotel, an argument broke out between the two on the service road. In a fit of rage, Gaikwad hit him and bit him on the hand, TOI reported quoting the victim.

Later, when Priya went to get her purse and phone from the accused’s SUV, another friend lit the fire and she fell on the road and ran over her right leg before running away.

The victim later posted several posts on social media to explain what happened, police said.

‘Not My Girl…’: Slammed Gaikwad

Countering Priya’s statement, accused Gaikwad said that she was just a friend and was drunk during the incident.

“Everything that has been described is not true. He is just a friend. He came to the hotel drunk where we were having family dinners and tried to force me to talk to him. When I refused, they started torturing me. He beat my friends when they tried to intervene. Shelke started the SUV to go further, but unfortunately it fell off the road. The accident was not intentional,” the book quoted.
