PM taught rioters such a lesson in 2002 that no one dares to start riots in Gujarat, says Amit Shah
“In 2002, there were riots, then Modi saheb taught (the rioters) a lesson… The rioters were taught a lesson in 2002 that till now no one dares to start riots in Gujarat,” he said at a function held at Sanand gram panchayat.
“In Kashmir, the dream of Sardar Patel, Syama Prasad Mookerjee to abrogate Article 370 was fulfilled by Modi saheb… being arrested. Narendrabhai completed the construction of the temple.”
Praising Modi for “teaching Pakistan a lesson”, he said, “In the past, every day, we would have bomb blasts… But with an airstrike once, we taught Pakistan a lesson… Narendrabhai has made the country safe.”
Appreciating Modi for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon, Shah said: “The whole world reached the Moon but our flag did not. Narendrabhai sent Chandrayaan to the Moon and made our Tricolor fly over the Shiv Shakti point (Chandrayaan landing site).
“He (PM) has worked in such a way that all sectors of the country’s economy are better (now compared to) the last 75 years. If one takes a 10-year period… (the country has seen a lot of) industrialization during Narendrabhai’s rule…,” he added.
Praising the Prime Minister for giving people free Covid-19 vaccinations, Shah asked the crowd, “Tell me, everyone, did any of you spend 5 bucks… is it here – a vaccine? Instead, you were given a cup of coffee and a vaccination certificate came.” on your WhatsApp is Narendrabhai’s smiling face.”
“Time has come to fulfill the dreams of martyrs like Bhagat Singh, Khudiram Bose, Rani Laxmibai, who fought for our freedom to make India number one in the world,” he said while appealing to the youth to do the same. At the event, Shah promised to make India a developed country by 2047 and eradicate the “ideology of slavery from its roots”.
Later, while addressing the 66th convocation of Sardar Patel University at Vallabh Vidyanagar in Anand district, Shah addressed the students as “the first batch of the Amrit Kaal era”.
He said that it was only after “entering national politics and traveling” that he “truly understood” the character of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. “At first, I worked in Gujarat – born and brought up here – I respected Sardar Patel like every Gujarati. But when I joined national politics after 2012 and started traveling across the country, I realized that without Sardar Patel, India’s connection would not have been possible and it would not have been naksha ( map)… “
“Today, I openly admit that when I went to the North East, Kashmir, Hyderabad and Jodhpur, and witnessed the devotion of the people of Sardar Patel, my opinion changed. Jodhpur, Junagadh, Hyderabad and Lakshadweep are part of India today because of Sardar Patel… When Modiji decided to abrogate Article 370 and after studying the records of that time, I realized that Sardar Patel had agreed to impose Article 370. in Kashmir with great pain and heartache,” he said.
“One Gujarati, Narendrabhai (Modi), has fulfilled the wishes of Sardar Patel,” added Shah.
According to Shah, it was because of Sardar Patel that India stood “protected and reformed”, contrary to the national opinion that India would be “crushed and crushed” after the end of British rule.
“… While leaving India, the British thought that the princely states had the right to be independent or join India or Pakistan as they wished. The whole world thought that India would break up and be crushed but they did not know that there was Sardar Patel here… When you meet people who faced the hardships of Partition, you will know who Sardar Patel is.
“Rich businessmen became poor and refugees in their own countries… later I convinced them to join India,” he added.
Encouraging the students not to “be discouraged by small obstacles”, Shah said, “The attitude in the country today is that you can achieve impossible goals.”
“Viksit Bharat 2047 policy of the Modi government is focused on the youth – hearing their voice and understanding their choices; empowering them and trusting their power…,” he added.
