The Company Had Given 6 Bonus Shares

The GM Polyplast IPO was launched in October of 2020. The issue was advertised through the BSE SME platform. The SME IPO was first launched with a fixed rate of Rs 159.

The issue was listed with an unlisted listing on the BSE SME platform. However, after an initial flat launch, the SME stock witnessed a huge leap.

Following this, the promoters of the company released bonus shares at a proportion of six to one. The company’s eligible shareholders received six shares of bonus stock as a reward.

The SME shares traded for sale ex-bonus on January 4, 2023. One lot contained 800 shares of company stock. If the allottee was involved in SME stock, despite the low market, his stake would have grown to 5600 [800 x {(6+1)/1}].

Bumper Profits For Investors

This GM Polyplast IPO lot comprised 800 shares and was sold for sale at the IPO cost of 159 rupees per share. The minimum amount needed to participate in this massive BSE SME IPO was Rs 1,27,200 (Rs 159 x 800).

The shareholding of the allottee was increased to 5600 following the bonus shares of 6:1. GM Polyplast shares had hit an intraday high of 211 for each share.

If an allottee is not invested through the SME IPO regardless of the cost-effective offering, his 1,27,200 rupees would be reverted to the rupees of 11,81,600.
