Top Renewable Energy Stock Hits Upper Circuit; ₹600 Target Possible; Strong Growth Potential

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd (NSE: SWSOLAR) Energy Stock: The share from Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy Limited has reached an upper limit of 5 percent on BSE on Friday, June 26.

Investors began battling to purchase the stock after it was discovered that the company had received two orders of approximately Rs 328 crore. The stock climbed to the price of Rs 689.6 within a short time.

It had traded 3.82 percent higher at 681 rupees. Its 52-week high is Rs 828 and the lowest is at Rs 253.

In the past, the stock has earned around 85 percent. However, the year has so far it has seen a rise of 52.22 percent.

The company explained that the orders concern batteries for energy storage within Rajasthan along with floating solar installations in Karnataka.

The company that offers renewable energy solutions was awarded an EPC, or engineering procurement agreement for the 1000MWh BESS Construction Project located in Rajasthan.

Largest Plant Of Its Kind In India

Sterling & Wilson said the 500 x 2MWh standalone BESS installation is among the biggest of its type in India and is among the only a few GWhr scale projects in the world.

The project will be finished by 2025, and will substantially increase India’s BESS capacity which was 219 MWh in March 2024.

The National Electricity Plan 2023 by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has forecast a substantial increase in energy capacity storage and an aim of 82.37 GWH by 2026 and 2027.

SWREL has also secured a 20MW floating solar power project located in Karnataka.

The project that is being developed by that same company is also the 3rd project of floating solar that is being carried out by SWREL in India.

The Global CEO for Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy Group said the projects were vital for them as well as India as they progress towards a more robust, scalable renewable energy.

They are in a position of strength in the rapidly growing battery and solar energy market.
