The Company Is Planning To Raise Funds

Recently, the Board of Vodafone Idea has allotted equity shares of Rs 1,440 crore ATC Telecom Infrastructure from Optionally Convertible Debentures (OCD). 

Following this, ATC’s stake in Vodafone Idea has increased to 2.9 percent. In the past, the company had revealed plans to raise around Rs 45,000 crore through both debt and equity. 

The company also approved the raising of equity funds that can reach the amount of Rs 20,000 crore. 

The company plans to hold its shareholders to a meeting on April 2nd, 2024. 

The company anticipates completing its equity fundraising during the next quarter, with shareholder permission. 

Promoters will also be part of the fundraiser. Vodafone Idea will raise funds via debt and equity to fund coverage of 4G and the rollout of 5G networks. capacity expansion.

“Telco will hold its shareholders at its meeting on April 2nd, 2024. It is expected to complete the equity raise within the next quarter dependent on shareholder consent. Promoters are also expected to take part in the proposed equity raise” the operator stated. 

Telco CEO Akshay Mundra expressed optimism that VIL will be able to launch 5G services in six to seven months after raising funds.

Stock Situation

The counter was trading above the 5-day, 10-20-20 200-day, 150-day, and 200-day basic moving average (SMA) however it was lower than 30 days, 50-day, and 100-day SMA. 

The counter’s relative strength index (RSI) stood at 52.35. 

Technical Research Analyst said “This stock offered an indication of a decline. Further upside in the coming days requires a decisive break above Rs 14.12 level. After this, the stock has a target of Rs 16.40 and Rs 18.40.” 

The primary support level is at around Rs 11.90.” At the time of December 2023, promoters owned 50.36 percent of the company.
