Maharatna PSU Stocks to Buy: The stock of Gail (India) Ltd (NSE: GAIL), a Maharatna company in the gas transmission sector, is up by more than 1 percent in early trade on Friday (March 1). Global brokerage firm believes that this Maharatna PSU stock is ready for a long race.

GAIL: Will Touch ₹200 Level

Brokerage house has maintained a buy advisory on GAIL. The target price has also been raised from Rs 195 per share to Rs 210.

On 29 February 2024, the share price closed at Rs 182. This will allow the stock to rise by 10-11 percent over the current price.

In the last year, investors in GAIL have got more than 80 percent returns.

This PSU stock has jumped more than 50 percent in 6 months. The 52-week high of the stock is 187.80 and the low is 102.10. The market cap of the company on BSE is more than Rs 1.21 lakh crore.

GAIL: What Is The Brokerage’s Opinion?

Citi says that there has been a big decline in the prices of America’s Henry Hub. Prices have fallen from an average of $2.7/mmBtu in Q3 to now $1.5/mmBtu (Metric Million British Thermal Unit). 

GAIL imports about 50 percent of natural gas from America. Input gas cost in the petrochemical segment is expected to reduce by $0.5. This will keep the realization stable.

The brokerage says that due to stable realization, Petchem’s EBITDA will improve. Trading EBITDA is also expected to increase. 

The fall in spot LNG prices will also benefit. This update from the international market will have an impact on the company’s movements.
