This comes weeks after The Indian government appealed against the death penaltyThe men were handed over on alleged espionage charges by a Qatari court on October 26. The appeal before the country’s Court of Appeal was accepted in the last week of November.
The Indian nationals, all employees of Doha-based Dhara Global, were detained in August 2022. Qatari authorities have not announced the charges against them. According to a report published by the Financial Times, they were accused of spying for Israel.
