Big Update On This Tata Group Share; Stock At New High; Gave 100% Return; Buy Or Sell?

Tata Group Power Company (NSE: TATAPOWER): A big update has come regarding Tata Group company Tata Power. 

The company was approved by the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) to raise the price. The news had a significant impact on the price of shares in the company.

Shares of Tata Power closed at a new high with a strong rise of 7.64 percent. The share has given 100 percent return in the last one year.

Approval To Increase Tariff From MERC

According to the information, Tata Power has received approval from MERC to increase the tariff. It has received permission to raise rates by 24% in FY25.

The new rates from the company will be applicable from April 1, 2024.

Tata Power At New High

The positive effect of the approval to increase the tariff of Tata Power was seen on the movement of stocks. 

At the end of trading, the price was at 428.45 rupees, an increase in the range of 8.48 percent.

The stock reached a high of 433.20 during intraday. Which is also a new high of 52 weeks. The 52-week low for shares is at 433.30. The market capitalization of the business had on BSE was 1.36 lakh crore.

If we look at the performance of Tata Power shares, the stock has given more than 100 percent returns in the last one year. 

Whereas in 6 months this stock has given 60 percent return to investors and in 3 months more than 30 percent return.

The Tala Transmission Project is a joint venture between Power Grid Corporation of India and Tata Power.

It is involved in Fuel and Logistics to Generation and Transmission Distribution, trading – exploring various renewable sources of energy both in India and around the world. 

It aims to transmit uninterrupted power generated by different plants across the nation and distributes electricity. 

The power generation facilities it has consist of solar power stations as well as hydro, thermal power plants, as well as wind generators. 

It has a capacity of 10763 MW. Of this, 36 percent of it is derived from clean energy sources. Tata Power is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
