Dabur India Share Price Target

The financial services firm Emkay Global Financial Services published the latest research report on Dabur India Share Price Target, assigning a ‘buy’ rating with a share price target of Rs. 650 from its current market price of Rs. 566.3.

Dabur India, a renowned name in the FMCG sector, is poised to witness a commendable growth trajectory in the coming quarters. For the third quarter of FY24, the company is expected to post approximately 7% in consolidated revenue and about 9% in earnings growth, underlining its robust business model.

In the domestic market, which accounts for roughly 75% of Dabur’s revenue, there are early indications of a consumption revival. Although rural growth continues to trail behind urban areas, the company anticipates a sequential improvement in demand. The expected growth in the domestic segment is around 4% by volume, with a notable 5% growth in the home and personal care portfolio, and 6% in foods. However, the healthcare sector, constituting 40% of sales, might see a modest 2% growth due to the delayed winter season.

Dabur’s international business remains a strong pillar, sustaining double-digit constant currency growth. The company foresees around 8% reported growth in this sector. Particularly impressive is the performance of Badshah Masala, a recent addition to Dabur’s portfolio, which is expected to contribute about 2% to the consolidated revenue with a high twenties growth driven by robust volume.

The company’s financial health is further strengthened by its gross margin, projected to expand by approximately 250 basis points to 48% in Q3FY24. This improvement, however, is expected to be somewhat offset by increased advertising and promotional needs, which are estimated to rise by 42% year-on-year.

Dabur’s EBITDA margin is forecasted to witness a modest year-on-year expansion of 10 basis points to 20.2%, with EBITDA growth around 8%. The earnings growth is anticipated to be around 9%.

From a valuation standpoint, Dabur currently trades at a one-year forward Price-to-Earnings (P/E) ratio of 44x, capturing near-term market headwinds. This valuation represents a 5% discount compared to its average forward P/E over the last five years. The company’s strategic focus on driving market share, portfolio transformation, category extensions, and strengthening distribution channels, coupled with its capacity for funding inorganic growth opportunities, bolsters its market position.

The stock retains a BUY rating, with a target price of Rs 650 per share by September 2024, based on a P/E ratio of 46x, aligning with its historical average.
