Power Grid Share: Shares of power company Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (NSE: POWERGRID)reached a record high during trading on Monday. 

The company’s shares rose 3.5% to a new 52-week high of Rs 297.05. There is a piece of positive news behind this rise in shares. 

The board of the company has approved to raise funds. The company’s board has approved the proposal to raise funds by issuing bonds totaling Rs 1,200 crore.

Shares of Power Grid rose 3.53% to a new high of Rs 297.05 on BSE from a previous close of Rs 286.90.

The business’s market capitalization at the BSE was raised to 2.73 lakh crore.

December Quarter Results

The company’s profit increased in the December quarter. 

The government company told the stock market last month that the net profit of Power Grid Corporation for the third quarter of the current financial year (October-December, 2023)

has increased by 10.5 percent to a record high of Rs 4,028 crore. It was 3,645.3 crore in the very same period last year. 

As per the firm, due to the rise in earnings, its profits have also grown.

Total income in the December quarter under review increased to Rs 11,819.70 crore, which was Rs 11,530.22 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year.

Consultancy services: consulting in the distribution, telecom, and transmission sectors. 

This includes financing, design, load dispatching, engineering, optical-ground wire (OPGW), intrastate transmission networks, operations and maintenance, procurement, and project management. 

Transmission Services: Transmit bulk power using extra-high voltage/high voltage networks (EHV/HV). 

The company was founded in 1989. The total operating revenue of the company is Rs 43343.05 Crores. Its equity capital is at Rs 6975.45 Crores.
