The Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, published a new video clip entitled “We tried to keep them alive, but Netanyahu insisted on killing them,” in reference to the Israeli occupation’s killing of three Israeli prisoners held in the Gaza Strip.

The video showed three Israeli prisoners: Elijah Toledano, Nick Beiser, and Ron Sherman, who were being held inside a room in a tunnel.

Al-Qassam addressed the settlers, saying that these three prisoners were “killed by your army’s weapons,” in reference to the indiscriminate bombing launched by the Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip.

You want to receive us as corpses: Israeli prisoners in the war government

The previous day, the Jerusalem Brigades of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement published a video clip of two Israelis being detained, and called on their government to work to reach a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange agreement.

The first prisoner, Elad Katzir, called on the Israelis to put pressure on their government to ensure that the Israeli prisoners return to their settlements. He also addressed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and members of the war cabinet, including Yoav Gallant, Benny Gantz, and Herzi Halevy.

In his speech, Katsir stressed that the Israeli prisoners were under a clear threat of death due to the dangerous conditions created by the Israeli occupation forces.

The prisoner said: “The situation is unbearable. There is a danger that we will die because there are no guarantees that the Israeli army will not bomb us.”

In fact, up to 60 Israeli prisoners have been killed since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, some by air strikes while others were killed by Israeli special forces fire.

The prisoner said, “We are in danger… an (Israeli bomb) may fall on us… We feel as if you do not want to bring us back alive.”

He also accused the Israeli war government of trying to kill as many prisoners as possible to reduce the influence of the Palestinian resistance in the negotiations related to the prisoner exchange deal.

The other prisoner, Gadi Mozes, said that Israeli prisoners constantly fear that Israeli military missiles will threaten their lives.

He called on Netanyahu and other Israeli decision-makers to do everything in their power to reach a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange agreement.

“We do not want to die in Gaza… Our lives are in great danger.”
