Rs 9120 Crore Massive Block Deal; 2.3 Crore Share Sell
TCS Share Price: On 19 March, Tata Consultancy Services shares fell by 3 percent in the early trading. It is reported that Tata Sons has sold more than 2.3 crore shares or about 0.6 percent of its stake in TCS through a block deal.
Due to this, TCS shares are in the red zone. The stock opened with a fall in the morning at Rs 4051.25 on BSE. Within a few moments, it fell by about 3 percent from the previous closing price and touched a low of Rs 4021.25.
The price range for the upper band of shares is 4,559.20 while the lower price band is Rs 3,730.30.
The circuit limit is 10 percent. Tata Sons has offered TCS shares for sale at an average price of Rs 4,043.
A day earlier, a report had said that Tata Sons may sell shares worth about Rs 9,120 crore ($ 1.1 billion) in TCS.

Currently, the market cap of TCS is Rs 14.6 lakh crore. As of December 31, 2023, the promoters’ stake in the company was 72.41 percent and the public’s was 27.59 percent.
TCS shares have strengthened by about 32 percent in the last one year. In a report, TCS can increase the pay of its employees offsite by a mean of 7-8 percent for 2024-25.
For onsite employees, this increase may be 2-4 percent. The salary of high performers can be increased by 12-15 percent. This increment will be effective from April 1, 2024.
