Previously, on December 19, IRCC conducted a draw targeting business professions in which it sent out 1,000 invitations to apply for permanent residency. The CRS cut-off score was 425.
This is the sixth round of Express Entry invitations for December, following a pause in November 2023.
Also on December 18, the general Express Entry drawing (for all programs) sent out 1,325 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency (PR).
The Comprehensive Rating System (CRS) score decreased by 19 points compared to the previous similar Express Entry draw on December 6th.

IRCC typically announces Express Entry draws on a fortnightly basis but has not held any rounds of invitations for the 5 weeks between October 26 and December 5.
However, IRCC conducted three consecutive draws between December 6 and 8, which is welcome 11,650 Profiles to apply for permanent residence and now two more are being drawn this week.
This is a relief for Express Entry candidates in the pool but the CRS cutoff score is still high.
It’s just the beginning of this week and we can expect more targeted rounds of invitations this week since the number of invitations was low in today’s Express Entry draw.

Summary of the latest Express Entry drawings in December 2023
On December 19, IRCC sent out 1,000 invitations for permanent residence (PR) in a round of invitations targeting 10 business professions.
On December 18, only 1,325 people with a CRS score of 542 or higher through the IRCC Express Entry drawing were invited to all programs.
On 8 December 2023, IRCC announced a targeted STEM draw, issuing 5,900 invitations to apply for permanent residency. The minimum CRS score was 481.
On December 7, 2023, there was an Express Entry center drawing for French speakers who sent 1,000 ITA for permanent residency. The cut-off score for the CRS was 470.
On 6 December 2023, 4,750 invitations were issued to enter a public drawing with a CRS score of 561 or higher
