In 2020, Daniel Balaji featured in a TV series titled Godman which was streamed on ZEE5. When the trailer of the series was released, many people from Hindu community objected to the trailer as it showed some controversial dialogues which were perceived as hateful towards Hindus, particularly Brahmins.
