However, unlike 2022 where the Pixel 7 Pro was the winning story that ran away with the majority of votes, the Pixel 8 Pro won with only one vote. One! So, which phone did you miss a bit?

To say that the OnePlus-OPPO merger has been divisive would be an understatement, and for a while, it looks like it could spell doom for the brand to settle down. The durable, powerful Galaxy S23 Ultra has been the flagship of the Android brand. It’s about as bad as we’ve seen from a premium phone, with stellar cameras, amazing performance, timeless design, and support for tons of apps.

To be successful, you have to hit very well. The Galaxy S23 Ultra may not have made it onto our list (spoiler: it made it onto yours), but it still holds its position as king.

Well, here’s a surprise. Where we’ve seen the vanilla Pixel take the top five spots alongside the Pro lineup, this year the Big G display has been joined by a true Pixel. Maybe the Pixel 8’s price hike is to blame (it’s still an amazing phone!), or maybe the upgrades we’ve seen on the A-series — especially the addition of wireless charging and 90Hz refresh — earned it a top five spot. Whatever the reason, the Pixel 7a is a great choice for budget buyers who don’t want to spend $500.

In what was generally a good year for Motorola flagships with the Razr (2023), Edge Plus (2023), and the Lenovo ThinkPhone by Motorola, the Razr Plus had some limitations.
