The New Year’s weekend has begun, and it’s going to be a big box office event. All the three films that are hitting the big screens – Animal, Salaar and Dunki have a lot of scope to boost them. Scroll below to know how far the Shah Rukh Khan film has fared in terms of advance booking on the 10th.
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the drama was released on 21 December 2023. It received a polarizing response upon its release. Many were concerned that mixed word of mouth might affect footfall. But that was not the case as Shah Rukh Khan’s film found its niche and grew from strength to strength!
Dunki preorders on the 10th
Despite clashing with a big player like Salaar, Dunki managed to hold his fort well at the ticket windows. In fact, Thursday was the first ever scenario in which the box office receipts fell below Rs 10 crore. But the film immediately picked up and restored its decent pace.
As per the latest streaming updates, the Shah Rukh Khan-led film has become a huge hit 2.57 Crores Total (excluding blocked seats) by advance reservation on the 10th day. It should be noted that the film achieved pre-booking sales of $ 2.50 Crores Total on the seventh day. So that’s definitely growth, even though it’s small.

So far, Dunki has made a whole bunch of 160.22 Crores Until the eighth day. The film added another 10-11 Crores On Friday, bringing their total numbers to approx 170.22-171.22 Crores. The film is all set to enter the 200-crore club by the end of this weekend!
As far as the global collection is concerned, Rajkumar Hirani’s direction is currently at a good level 323.77 Crores Total in 8 days.
