On the second day of the financial year i.e. April 2, the shares of Railway Vikas Nigam Limited (NSE: RVNL) took off. 

During early trading, the stock reached at Rs 26.3.85. They have received several huge orders. This is the reason why RVNL shares rose.

Order Details

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited has received an order worth Rs 148.26 crore, to meet the 3000 MT loading target of the Bhadrak (Exclusive) section of the Kharagpur division of the South Eastern Railway.

The construction, supply, testing, and commissioning works are to be carried out for upgrading of 1 25 KV x 25 V to a 2 25 KV traction system. 

The work is scheduled to be completed within 18 months. 

In a stock exchange filing, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd also said it has emerged as the lowest bidder for the ₹95.95 crore project from NFR-Const HQ-Electrical/NF Railway Construction. 

It will cost the sum of Rs 95.95 crore and will be completed within 240 days.

The Order Was Received By Salasar

A joint venture between Rail Vikas Nigam Limited and Salasar Techno Engineering has got the contract, for a transmission project of around 60 crores within the Central African country Rwanda. 

The joint venture has been awarded the contract by Energy Development Corporation Limited (EDCL). 

It is expected to be completed within 18 months. This month the joint venture won a transmission contract for 174 crore from the Madhya Pradesh government. 

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited holds a 51 percent stake in the joint venture and STEL holds the remaining 49 percent.

Let us tell you that on January 23, 2024, and March 29, 2023, the shares of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited touched a 52-week high of Rs 345.60 and a 52-week low of Rs 65.30. 

The stock is currently down 24.25 percent from its 52-week high.

The company was incorporated on 24.01.2003 and became fully operational after the appointment of all Directors of the Board in March 2005.

RVNL implements projects by awarding contracts on a turnkey basis to international norms and practices. 

Additionally, 5 Workshop Projects and one cable bridge with a stayed structure have been completed.

The projects are currently being implemented by 36 PIUs scattered across the nation. 

RVNL is also an Equity Part of an SPV that includes 12 major Ports under the Ministry of Shipping.

RVNL has managed to attract an investment of 6,139 crores. The RVNL/HSRC was tasked to conduct feasibility studies of HSR corridors that run between Mumbai and Chennai, Delhi Amritsar, Delhi Kolkata, and Delhi-Mumbai.
